I’m kicking off the first NFL Sunday watching my Cowboys play the Giants at home! There’s nothing quite as fun as a good rivalry to start the season; I am so pumped to watch tonight! My family has always been whole-hearted Dallas Cowboy fans and every Sunday we would put aside what we may have going on to gather in our living room with our appetizers, drinks, and blankets to watch our team. I love our tradition and how we have kept it alive over the years. While today I won’t be back home with them, I know we will all be connected to our phones to keep up; I can hear their shouts at the tv already, ha!

Now I know I’m a little dressed up for a football game but honestly, this outfit screams my name because it’s just my style. In fact, when I stumbled across this top the first thing that came to mind was, “I could wear this to a Cowboys game!” The beaded stars made it perfect and I’ve had it saved for the day to come. The top bunches at the bottom giving it a cropped look, the bell-sleeves keep it cute and trendy, and I love the criss-cross straps on the front and back. Overall, I knew it belonged in my closet. I also bought this skirt a few months back. While the star patches paired flawlessly with a white top for the 4th of July, I knew it would also look great paired with this top for a game! I accessorized this look with Kendra Scott earrings, my clear envelope bag, and these blue velvet booties with a clear heel – so trendy AND incorporating the clear bag look!

Lets talk about this adorable clear envelope bag. Recently the NFL and NCAA made a new bag policy allowing only clear bags or small, one compartment, clutch bags that doesn’t exceed 8.5″ x 5.5″ into the stadiums. I made sure to get a clear bag of my own because there’s nothing worse than getting up to the gate to hand in your ticket and having to take your purse allll the way back to the car because it wasn’t clear or it was too big to be ‘stadium approved.’ I got my clear bag from Sewn Clothing Gallery because I really liked the envelope look – I know my stuff is safe and won’t fall out because of the fold-over shape – plus the bag was available in the gun-metal silver like I have, or gold (which are still available in store).

The game just started you guys! Who are you watching tonight?

As always,

Ara
