the arrival of autumn

Happy 3rd day of fall, ya’ll! Considering the last time I posted a blog on here was the end of August, it’s safe to say that time has flown by and I’ve been super busy since school started.. No worries though, I’m doing great in all my classes so far and seem to actually be enjoying them when I’m not stressing for them. I’m loving my broadcast class because every two weeks we put together our own full news cast with stories that we each go out to individually film, interview, and edit. I’m usually the anchor or reporter on our news cast so it’s really great practice for what I’ll be doing as a reporter in the future and it’s good film to possibly put on my news reel for future employers to look at! For those interested in watching my stories, you can watch my very first news story for MNG Media (the name of my broadcast class’s news cast) here on Youtube.

Even if it got here way too fast, I’m so hype for fall because of fall fashion!! I’m ready for oversized sweaters, bell-sleeves, faux fur, snake booties, leather, and all the plaid and animal prints — my goodness there is so much to look forward to this season! Its the best time of year for fashion, in my opinion. When the leaves start to fall and the fashion is high. I’m still obsessing over the looks served at NYFW to start out September! All the fall fashion previews from my favorite bloggers and influencers were incredible – one day I’ll make it to Fall NYFW to see these looks for myself (+ maybe hang with those cool girls too @tezzamb @oliviarink @peyton.baxter from Insta)!

This blue babydoll dress is from Dillards and I’ve linked it below for you! When I first saw this dress, I honestly imagined myself twirling around in a flower field. The color, the fit, the bow in the back, it is precious!! While I have yet to locate any local flower fields, I have my own flowers and located the trains; I’m content. This chambray dress is really an end of summer piece (on sale currently!!) but I paired it with my oatmeal ankle-booties to wear it into fall! I wore a nude bandeau underneath the lace-up front of the dress so it’s not so revealing and paired some of my favorite everyday jewelry pieces for a simplistic look.

To instantly shop my looks, download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and follow me @ara_mackenzie! This is not a social media app, but an app that allows you to shop the cheetah sweater that your favorite influencer is wearing instantly from the photo they posted. It also allows you to follow that influencer to make sure you never miss a chance to get the look — it’s really cool like that. Since I will honestly, indefinitely post more often on my Instagram than my blog, there are lots of outfits that my blog-only followers don’t and won’t see. No worries guys, because this easy, convenient app will allow you to shop the photos I publish with LIKEtoKNOW.it! The app is really user friendly but if you have any questions about downloading or navigating the app just shoot me an email or a DM on Instagram and I will help you figure it out!

As always,

Ara
