Leo G Photography — part one

I have been so excited to share all these images with you guys!! The oh so talented photographer and creative director behind this shoot is Leo Gonzalez, a friend of mine from my mass communication classes at Midwestern State University and local Wichita Falls photographer. (@leogphotography on Instagram!!) He had the idea to collaborate in a photoshoot and came across this gorgeous art installation in downtown Wichita Falls for the location — I am still blown away at the creative images we came up with!

It was really fun to just play model for the day, whereas I’m usually the creative director and model of my photoshoots. I told Leo I was gonna sit back and be directed and he came prepared with so many props and ideas to use them. He was also great at posing me and capturing his idea for soft hands, intense eyes, and the ‘Vogue’ look (a slightly open, relaxed mouth). All I had to do was come with fierce, big hair and a smokey-eye makeup look dressed in this gorgeous Jack velvet dress. The dress was even more perfect for this photoshoot than I had imagined when I planned for it, not only did it pull out the pretty greens in this glass hut, it pulled some texture into the photos!

I really loved this collaboration experience and the photos that came from it! Leo definitely has a photo-style all his own and I love that both of our styles came together for this fashion photoshoot. Just wait though, there is a whole other location and outfit photoshoot Leo and I did at Lucy Park among all the pretty changing leaves, and if you think this shoot was fierce — just wait. I’ll be posting all of them in another blog post this Thursday!

As always,

Ara
